GERMANY BY CAMPER

Driver license: The DRM company (German Camper Rental Company) requires the driver to have at least 1 year of driving experience and to be in the possession of an international driver license. 

Minimum age: 21 years, with a minimum of 1 year driving experience 

Additional driver: Included in the rate. The name of the additional driver must be listed in the rental contract.  

Credit Card: The renter must present a credit card (Visa, Mastercard) as a deposit (1.200,-€) when picking up the camper. 

Minimum rental period: The minimum rental period ranges from 7 to 14 days (see the table) The total duration of the rental period will be confirmed in the contract, calculated per 24-hour period, starting from the moment that the contracts goes into effect. If the rental period is exceeded an additional day will be charged. 

Fuel: Rates do not include fuel. The rental agency delivers the car with a full tank of gas. The renter has the obligation to return the car with a full tank, or pay a service charge. 

Car models: The reservation only guarantees a category of vehicle, not a specific model, as the models listed here may vary. 

Pick-up and drop-off points: Campers can be picked up from Monday to Friday in the afternoon. Vehicles can be returned from Monday to Friday in the morning. Pick-ups and drop-offs of Saturday will be subject to an additional fee. The vehicle will be delivered to the renter at the DRM location. The vehicle will also be returned at this location. 

The transfer airport/hotel/ rental agency is not included in these rates. 

International travel: Depending on the country of destination you be allowed to drive the vehicle outside of the country. However, the vehicle always needs to be returned in Germany (please contact us with questions about your itinerary). 

One Way is not possible. 

Fines: All fines are the responsibility of the renter.

Special travel conditions apply for payment and cancellation of reservations. 

Please enquire for rates for renting larger campers. (Note: larger campers require a driver license for vehicles over 3.5 tons) 

The vehicle’s rental contract, instruction manuals and additional information are all provided in English. Therefore, the renter does require a good level of English fluency (in case of an accident or damages). 

In case of damages you are obligated to inform the rental agency immediately. The renter needs to allow the agency a reasonable time period to repair the vehicle. 

The renter is obligated to return the camper with a clean interior. If the camper is not returned clean, the agency will charge a € 120 cleaning fee.
