7 DAY DRUISE - FROM/TO FRANKFURT
From Amsterdam to Strasbourg TRAVELOGUE Day 1 Frankfurt - Amsterdam Travel by train from Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Transfer to the pier and boarding the ship in Amsterdam at 1 p.m. Lunch onboard. Walking tour around Dam Square, guided by one of the crew members. Return to the boat for welcome reception and introduction of the crew. Dinner and optional boat excursion through the canals of Amsterdam. Day 2 Amsterdam Optional guided tour of Amsterdam. In the afternoon, optional excursion to the Keukenhof flower park with its impressive tulip exhibits (only March 17 - May 15; outside of the dates travelers may book optional excursions to Volendam and Zaanse Schans). Dinner onboard. The evening is free to spend at your leisure. Overnight mooring. Day 3 Amsterdam - Nijmegen - Krefeld Early morning departure as we sail towards Nijmegen. Breakfast onboard. Free time or optional excursion to the Kröller Muller Museum (except on Mondays: optional excursion to the open air museum of the Netherlands). Continue our cruise to Krefeld. Along the way we will sail through the cities of Wesel-Duisbourg. Overnight mooring in Krefeld. Day 4 Krefeld - Cologne - Königswinter Today we sail through Dusseldorf and Zons, a medieval town. Arrival in Cologne around 3 p.m. for a 2-hour stop. Free time or a walking tour of the old city, accompanied by one of the crew members. Boarding by 6 p.m. The boat will sail through Bonn, a historic university town. Arrival in Königswinter. The evening is free to spend at your leisure. Overnight mooring. Day 5 Königswinter - Rüdesheim Today we sail through the city of Koblenz and explore one of the most beautiful sections of the Rhine as the river meanders by magnificent castles, hillside vineyards and Lorelei Rock. Arrival in Rüdesheim. Free time or optional excursion to the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments and train ride. After dinner you are free to explore the famous Drosselgasse Avenue with its lively bars and music scene. Overnight mooring. Day 6 Rüdesheim - Speyer or Mannheim - Strasbourg Early morning departure as we sail along the Rhine, passing through the cities of Wiesbaden, Nierstein, Worms and Mannheim. Optional excursion to Heidelberg. Return to the boat by late afternoon. Dinner and gala evening onboard the ship. Overnight sailing to Strasbourg. Day 7 Strasbourg - Frankfurt Arrival in Strasbourg around 9 a.m. Disembarkation and transfer to the train station. Travel by train to Frankfurt.
