Pearls of the Danube TRAVELOGUE Day 1: Vienna Transfer to the port from your hotel or Vienna airport. Board the cruise ship at 6pm. Check-in, introduction of the crew and welcome reception. Free night or optional guided tour of Vienna by Night. Day 2: Melk Early morning arrival. Optional visit to the Melk Abbey, an impressive example of Austrian baroque architecture. Continue by boat to Durnstein; sightseeing tour. Final destination today is Bratislava. Day 3: Bratislava Arrival late at night. Optional excursion to Bratislava and its beautiful baroque palaces. Our cruise continues to Kalocsa, in Hungary. Afternoon sailing. Evening entertainment onboard. Day 4: Kalocsa Arrival and optional excursion to the Puzsta, the vast wild plains that once formed Hungary’s rugged frontier. Horse show. Departure for Budapest, the pearl on the Danube. Day 5: Budapest Free day or optional guided tour of Budapest. The city is actually composed of two twin cities, Buda and Pest, divided by the Danube river. Free afternoon. Optional evening folklore show in Budapest. Departure around midnight. Day 6: Budapest - Esztergom Arrival and time to visit Esztergom, the first capital of Hungary in the days of the Arpad royal family. Afternoon sailing. Gala dinner. Day 7: Vienna Early morning arrival. Optional guided tour of Vienna and Schönbrunn castle. Return to the boat. Free time or optional guided excursion to Hofburg, the Habsburg Palace. Overnight stay. Day 8: Vienna Disembarkation. Transfer to your hotel or Vienna airport.
