4 DAYS – FROM/TO FRANKFURT
Rivers, vineyards and castles  Castles, palaces, picturesque river landscapes, small historic villages and some of Germany’s finest wines await visitors to the Eifel, Hunsrück, Moselle and central Rhine region in southwest Germany. Enjoy this itinerary that includes several river tours on the Rhine and Moselle and a taste of Germany’s fine wines.TRAVELOGUE Day 1 Frankfurt - Heidelberg Travel from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. Sightseeing tour of the city and visit to the castle. Heidelberg’s idyllic setting on the Neckar River, surrounded by forest and vineyards, seems to be straight out of a fairytale. Day 2 Heidelberg - Trier In the morning we continue along the“wine route“ and visit charming towns like Neustadt, Deidesheim and Bad Dürkheim where we find the largest wine barrel in the world. Our final destination today is Trier. Day 3 Trier - Bernkastel- Kues - Traben - Cochem - Koblenz After breakfast we visit Trier, an old Roman settlement that boasts more than 2000 years of history. Travel by boat along the Moselle from Bernkastel-Kues to Traben. We disembark and continue by road to Cochem where we visit the famous Burg Eltz castle. Arrival in the old Roman city of Koblenz. Day 4 Koblenz - St. Goarshausen - Rüdesheim - Frankfurt Early morning departure for the “German Corner”, where the Moselle meets the Rhine. Here we board the cable car to the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein. As we cross the Rhine we enjoy spectacular river views. Travel to St. Goarshausen to board the ship at 12:10 p.m. The cruise sails along the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine, the Lorelei valley. After disembarking in Rüdesheim we walk to the “Rüdesheimer Schloss” restaurant for a wine tasting. Then we enjoy a short sightseeing tour of this small town before continuing to Frankfurt. End of tour in Frankfurt.  If you would like to modifi y the program or include other cities we can adjust the itinerary according to your interests.
